What to ask your Plumber!

Many customers have looked on Google, called the number and engaged the plumber to come out and do the job. Only to find out later that there was an issue with the workmanship or worse. He had a website, a plumbing truck and tools right and gave you a cheap price, right? Well, I have some news for you, the first question you might want to ask is “why is he so much cheaper than the other plumbers?” This is maybe a red flag, a good plumber will back his reputation and know his worth, he will always back himself and that will reflect in his pricing. I am not telling you to go out and get the most expensive plumber either, just one that knows his stuff. A good plumber will answer you back pretty quickly when asked questions about a job.

Are they licensed? Luckily today, we have access to technology and the answers can be found out pretty quickly on our phones, a simple search on your states licensing board with a personal name or a company name. Here is the North Carolina link for a license search, NC state board of examiners. Using a licensed plumber means that they have satisfactorily met the time requirements for hands on training and also the plumber has met the requirements of knowing the plumbing code. Plumbing is not about “just water” or stinky sewer clogs. There are many factors involved such as back flow protection so the public does not have contaminated water supply. or the correct knowledge to set temperature of hot water so your family/public is safe and protected.

At J&L Plumbing we want you to have a great experience, we take care and pride in what we do. our pricing is fair and competitive. And, Most importantly, we are fully licensed insured and bonded with 28 years of experience.
